The Heritage town of Roscrea is centrally situated on the main N7, just over midway between Dublin and Limerick and is still an important market town, servicing the villages of Shinrone, Cloughjordan, Moneygall, Borris-in-Ossory, Clonakenny, Knock and Dunkerrin among others.
